We keep this short and specific. This policy explains what MIXXIA collects, why, who processes it on our behalf, and how to ask us to change or delete it.
01 Who we are
The data controller is MIXXIA FOR GENERAL TRADING CO, a company licensed in the State of Kuwait under Commercial Registration number 2020/13601, registered at Office 111, Floor 1, Al Saud United Real Estate Building, Salem Al Mubarak Street, Block 9, Plot 188, Salmiya, Hawalli Governorate, State of Kuwait (PACI 14921273).
The same legal entity operates this website and every MIXXIA platform, including MIXXIA Events and IXXI.
02 Scope of this policy
This policy covers personal data processed through mixxia.com — our corporate website — and in the course of our business relationships and professional engagements.
Each MIXXIA platform publishes its own privacy notice covering the data it processes:
- MIXXIA Events Privacy Policy — covers event organisers and their guests.
- IXXI — a privacy notice will be published at ixxi.mixxia.com on or before its public launch.
Where a platform notice applies, it governs that platform's data. This policy governs everything else.
03 Information we collect
When you visit mixxia.com
This website has no forms, no account system, no analytics and no advertising trackers. We do not build visitor profiles. However, delivering any web page necessarily involves technical data: our hosting provider and the content networks that serve our fonts and scripts receive your IP address, browser type and the page requested, and keep short-term server logs for security and delivery.
When you contact us
If you email hello@mixxia.com or call us, we receive whatever you choose to send — typically your name, email address or phone number, your organisation, and the content of your message. We use it to reply and to assess whether we can help.
When you become a client
For business engagements we hold contact details of the individuals we work with, correspondence, contractual and billing records, and any information you give us access to in the course of the work.
Data we process on behalf of clients
In some engagements we access or process personal data that belongs to a client's own systems. In those cases the client is the controller and we act as a processor on their documented instructions. We do not use that data for our own purposes.
Platform users
If you use MIXXIA Events, the data we collect about you — as an organiser or as an invited guest — is described in the MIXXIA Events Privacy Policy.
04 How we use information
- To respond to enquiries and provide proposals.
- To deliver, support and improve our services and platforms.
- To issue invoices, take payment and keep accounting records.
- To keep our website and platforms secure and to prevent abuse.
- To meet legal, regulatory, tax and accounting obligations in the State of Kuwait.
We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not use it to train artificial-intelligence models, and we do not submit client confidential data to third-party AI services except where a client has instructed or approved that use for their own project.
06 International transfers
Several of our providers operate outside the State of Kuwait, including in the European Union, the United States and the Asia-Pacific region. Where personal data is transferred outside Kuwait, we use providers that offer recognised contractual and technical safeguards for that data, and we transfer only what the service requires.
07 How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement — up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Client records and correspondence — for the duration of the relationship and afterwards as needed for legal claims.
- Financial and accounting records — for the period required by Kuwaiti commercial law.
- Server and security logs — short-term, as retained by our hosting and delivery providers.
- MIXXIA Events data — as stated in that platform's privacy policy; guest lists and RSVP records are retained while the event is active and for 12 months afterwards.
08 Your rights
You may ask us to:
- Tell you what personal data we hold about you.
- Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete data, where we are not required to keep it by law.
- Stop sending you communications.
- Provide a copy of data you gave us, in a commonly used format.
Write to hello@mixxia.com. We respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Requests relating to MIXXIA Events can also be sent to events@mixxia.com.
If you are a guest whose details were uploaded to MIXXIA Events by an event organiser, that organiser decides who is invited. We will act on your request to stop receiving messages and will pass deletion requests to the organiser where the data is theirs.
09 Security
We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption of data in transit, access controls limited to personnel who need access, hosting with providers that maintain recognised security practices, and separation of production data from development environments.
No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal data and creates a significant risk to you, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by applicable law.
11 Children
Our services are directed to businesses and to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 18. If you believe a child's data has been provided to us, contact us and we will delete it.
12 Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our services, our portfolio or the law change. The current version is always published at mixxia.com/privacy with its effective date and version number. Where a change materially affects how we use your data, we will take reasonable steps to notify you.
This policy is published in English and Arabic. In the event of any conflict or discrepancy between the two versions, the Arabic version prevails.
